Answers to frequently asked questions about Simply Hot
Simply Hot is a patent-pending, modular water heating assembly that benefits from minimal electrical and fossil fuel input. Simply Hot uses plastic modules coupled with consumer bottles, such as water bottles, juice bottles, etc. to heat water.
When assembled, water (from a swimming pool, for example) is cycled through the system through a pair of hoses. As water flows through the assembly, the temperature from the sun and air continuously heats the water. A pump may be used to help the water through the system.
Yes, the Simply Hot System will definitely heat your pool. We've performed many tests with our patent-pending assembly with great results! Using a 10 ft. by 1 ft. volume of pool water with 32 plastic bottles, the pool water temperature increased by about 10 degrees fahrenheit (5.6 degrees celsius) in a 3-4 hour period on sunny and partly sunny days. On cloudy days, the pool water temperature increased by about 5 degrees fahrenheit (2.8 degrees celsius) in a 3-4 hour period.
The Simply Hot System is currently patent-pending (so a price point is not set). However, the Simply Hot modules will be made of an inexpensive plastic that would likely be cheaper than a Starbucks coffee cup!
Yes. The idea of Simply Hot not only applies to swimming pool water, it also applies to water heating from any source for the home. For example, while not currently tested but a definite possibility, Simply Hot could preheat house water by placing the assembly on the roof or ground outside the home and connecting it to the home's water system.
